The Freeland Community Sports Association (FCSA) and the Tittabawassee Township Downtown Development Authority (DDA) have entered into a partnership with MidMichigan Medical Center (MMMC) and Mid Michigan Gymnastics. The 12,800 square foot medical facility opened in March of 2008. The 66,000 square foot Freeland Sports Zone began construction in May of 2008 and is anticipated to complete construction April 2009. The FCSA has also entered into a partnership with MidMichigan Gymnastics to lease a 20,000 square foot gymnastic facility that will be attached to the community center.
The MidMichigan Medical Center, Mid Michigan Gymnastics and the FCSA find
it mutually beneficial to exist together at the same site. All
facilities provide exposure for client development and provide equally
compatible, shared services. It is favorable to the community to
provide rehabilitation and recreation services in an "all-in-one" location.
These three facilities, constructed together, will increase the success of
the ventures and provide a center for health and wellness.
