We have had several questions in the last week regarding the allowed size of trash containers. Many residents are receiving an orange sticker stating their trash can is too large. The Mid Michigan Waste Authority Guidelines state that trash cans must be no larger than 33-gallons and weigh less than 50 lbs. Route managers have been seeing many additional large containers being purchased so The Waste Authority is doing "Curb Side Education". They will place an orange sticker 3 times before they will not pick up your trash in these large containers. The Waste Authority asks that if you own one of the larger containers to please take the bags out and set them at the curb for pick up. For more Mid-Michigan Waste Authority Information click here
